Mixed media combines materials of varying texture, color, and style to create multi-dimensional art. Various paints, pencils, paper, and found or sentimental objects are incorporated into the design in such a way as to tell a story or elicit a response. This process is similar to God taking all our experiences, weaving them together and making something beautiful, for our good and His glory.

Mari Dertinger is a wife, mother, writer and artist living in a small town in middle-Georgia. You can read about her passion for proclaiming freedom to the captives on her blog Redemption’s Champion.

As the founder of Artistry 61, a creative ministry center. Mari loves to encourage creativity and healing through an intimate relationship with the Father expressed through art.

As a child Mari loved to express herself through the art of dancing, writing and creating. Several years ago after being asked if she was an artist and saying, “Yes!” Mari’s life changed dramatically. God opened doors for her to share her gifts through creating, teaching and writing.

Mari has been called a “connector” and is passionate about connecting her friends to her friends and drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and each other. She never says no to an opportunity to host people in her home. She is passionate about her relationship with Jesus Christ and if given a few minutes she will share with you all the amazing things He’s done in her life. She fiercely pursues Jesus, connection, coffee and creativity.

She can often be found traveling great distances to meet with friends, take an art class or visit a worship service. Due to the amount of time spent in her vehicle, it has been nicknamed “Rolling Sanctuary.” As a mom of five children it is the best place to get time alone to pray and worship God and seek Him for wisdom and direction.

Mari will receive her life coaching certification in November. She loves to encourage people to be who they were created to be, walk in freedom and seek Jesus in every area of their lives.

Our dream is to be a creative ministry center where people can overcome things that are holding them back and discover their true identity through art, relationships and life coaching.
